WOW!, I don't know about you but the days seem to be going by fairly quickly. A week slipped away and now I'm here Just to let you know that all student work will always be posted on Google Classroom. Students can always email me if they need help with ANYTHING. email@example.com
Unfortunately, I've been missing seeing some of you on our Zoom meetings and then others, have completed enough work to come work with me in the school garden. I Miss you all so much...and hope you are doing well and that you remember..."The one thing constant in life is ...CHANGE. We will all be okay.
Hopefully by now, we are settled into somewhat of a routine. I'm finding that I have to make a daily plan of work, projects and play in order for me to not become to a "slug", "couch potato". Trying to always have a positive perspective in these challenging times, can only help with my well being. The outcome, for myself, is to have faith that we will get through this and actually be more compassionate, caring and prepared for anything else that may come our way in the future.
I am so proud to be a part of our Kid Street community that is always caring and supportive to our "families" and beyond. It's been a real challenge to tap into so many new ways of learning in such a short time, but for myself, I am feeling the rewards of making mistakes, and learning new ideas that will help me to move along in this technological age. We are all in this together and no one is alone.
Please contact our school, or myself directly, if you are in need of ANYTHING and we will make sure that you receive the support you need to feel safe and connected to your "family".
Be well, keep your social distancing and enjoy the outdoors when ever possible.
Sending Blessings and love to you all!
P.S. I will continue to post new work on Google Classroom every Sunday for the following week and will hand out "hard copy" curriculum, if there is any to hand out, on Tuesdays and Thursdays with brown bag food pick up between 11-12 ALSO...because of internet challenges, I will be holding Zoom "classes" on Tuesdays and Thursdays only from 12-1. The code should always be the same: 135022508 PW: 611290
Well by now I believe we have almost everyone on our Zoom classes. Starting this week, and from now on, we will be having our Zoom meetings on Tuesday-Friday from 12:00-1:00 The class code is 135022508 and password is: 611290 I am also setting up times to meet with our math tutor Jay. If your child is needing some extra one on one with Jay to go over some math concepts, please let me know by email or during our Zoom meetings.
I will continue to put hard copy curriculum in bags for pick up on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 11-12. I hope to have it together enough by next week to have you pick up curriculum every other week for those who do not come by weekly for food. I will send out a notice on our Remind App to inform you when that will be.
Thank you all for staying in touch and being patient with my learning curve while my brain creates many new synapses. : )
Stay healthy and enjoy your family time together!!
Love you all and miss you mucho.
Here we are on week 3 and I hope you are all staying inside and keeping each other company...
The weekly routine will be as follows:
Every Tuesday & Thursday, I will be handing out "hard copy" curriculum when you pick up brown bag food. You can pick it up on either day. My intention is to get students to do both hard copy work as well as online activities which will lesson the stress of all work being online. It will be handed out to those that come to school for brown bag on Tuesday's and Thursday's. Please contact me if you are unable to pick those up by Monday and I will make sure I get those to you.
I will post all new assignments on the Monday of that week and work will be due the following Monday. Assignments will always be posted on our Google Classroom with detailed instructions.
Students need to sign in to Google Classroom with their school emails and the password welcome123!
Jamie's 4th grade. Please let me know if you are still having difficulty getting them on.
I am still working on getting my "Remind app" working for all and appreciate those of you that responded letting me know that you are on. : ). I will use that as a way to send out short reminders.
I miss seeing your children and hope that this finds you all safely gathered together and making the best your time while sending blessings to the world and those less fortunate.
Blessings to you all,
Dear Students and family,
It's been a very challenging and unpredictable few weeks as we all do our best to stay inside and abide by our states mandates to stay safe.
While we are not at school for now, I will be posting available websites that you and your child can access to keep up with their learning. These lessons will all be on Google Classroom; To log into google classroom the students will have to access through their school google accounts, Which is firstname.lastname@example.org
I am also in the process of setting up a conference class with Zoom and will keep you posted on that as it evolves. In the meantime for the first week "back" ...Please go to Google Classroom where I have posted all the websites that are school approved for learning. Students are familiar with these, however, if you are having any difficulty signing in please don't hesitate to contact me at email@example.com.
Thank you for keeping your children engaged in their learning and of course, be safe and stay well.
P.S. As of today, school's will be closed until April 6th when we will let you know the updated status from there.
Zoom # is 135022508 Password; 611290 We will be connecting this Wednesday-Friday and for the following weeks every Monday and Wednesday at the same time. Google "Zoom" and then go to "join a meeting" at the top of page. You might have to download the app first. It's free! After "join a meeting" a box that asks for the code should appear. I have meetings scheduled for 12:00 for the week starting March 30 just to get started.
